Amalgamated March 1992 with Alberta Tourism to form Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation. Alberta Economic Development was established 1979 when Alberta Business Development and Tourism split. Name changed February 6, 1986 to Alberta Economic Development and Trade. Alberta Economic Development and Tourism was established winter 1993 by the amalgamation of Alberta Economic Development and Trade and Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation.
