La technique de la protéine A-or (protéine A couplée à de l'or colloïdal) modifiée pour la détection de sites antigéniques sur tissus osmifiés est utilisée. En bref, les grilles supportant les coupes de tissu flottent pendant une heure sur une solution saturée de métapériodate de sodium; elles sont lavées à l'eau distillée et placées pendant 5 minutes sur une goutte de tampon phosphate 0,01 M (PBS) contenant 1% d'ovalbumine et ensuite transférées sur une goutte d'anticorps dilué 1:10 avec du PBS-ovabulmine. Après une heure d'incubation, elles sont lavées au PBS puis incubées avec le complexe protéine A-or pendant 30 minutes [...].
