The Shoshoni ... the annual September buffalo hunt, when the various Shoshoni bands joined with the Bannock or Flathead in migrating to the Plains through the territory of their enemies, the Blackfoot and Crow. Adding to their economy was trade with the Flathead ... with whom they traded buffalo skins and salmon, for horses and mules.
