The Global Sea Level Observing System (GLOSS) is an international programme coordinated by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) for the establishment of high quality global and regional sea level networks for application to climate, oceanographic and coastal sea level research. For most printing papers, specular gloss is usually measured at 75° which is the angle between a line normal to the surface of the specimen and the direction of reflected and incident light.
