Voici les conclusions des études de consultation réalisées au cours des trois dernières années par le gouvernement de la Saskatchewan sur la création d'une installation de fermentation en préproduction. a) L'installation projetée : - i) permettrait aux promoteurs commerciaux de mener à bonne fin la mise à l'échelle des procédés de fermentation dans une atmosphère de confiance, de former des employés de production et de fabriquer la quantité de produits requise pour la réalisation d'une étude de marché/d'entrée sur le marché; - ii) fournirait une capacité de fermentation qui viendrait appuyer et favoriser l'expansion d'une industrie de biotransformation à valeur ajoutée; - iii) engloberait une usine pilote permettant une mise à l'échelle atteignant jusqu'à 1 500 litres; - iv) offrirait les ressources nécessaires, sur le plan de la technique et du développement des procédés, à la réalisation de recherches conjointes et contractuelles.
