However, while the word "impairment" is acceptable in a medical context, it can sometimes be considered offensive. Depending on the context, another strategy could be using the more generic designation "alcohol-related brain damage" or "alcohol-induced major neurocognitive disorder."

There was no forethought to go and record what buzzards were eating, but having seen something exciting the observer may want to record it in a local bird report or online. Why should a modern scientist bother with such unsystematic data when trying to make an assessment of buzzard diet?... while such chance observations can’t be used on their own to understand common buzzard behaviour, they do supplement the more rigorous data collection and help to complete the picture of diet diversity.

There are as many as nine pairs of pleural plates in the cheloniid known as the ridley(Lepidochelys olivacea; L up to 1 m), the Atlantic form of which, according to Brongersma, is a separate species(L. kempii). Oddly, the ridleys were long thought-falsely-to be hybrids of the green turtle and the loggerhead(hence the alternative name, bastard turtle). They, too, feed on a mixed diet, mainly crustaceans, and congregate in groups in shallow bays near the coast.

Glucomannan is high in fiber, essential for cleaning the digestive system. P. cineraria is a genuine multipurpose species. It yields excellent firewood and produces high-quality charcoal. The wood is hard and reasonably durable with a variety of small timber uses. The foliage provides nutritious fodder, maximum yields being produced when the trees are pollarded on a three-year rotation. Palatability is good. The pods also provide good fodder, and when young, are a popular vegetable in the human diet in parts of India and Pakistan. In times of famine the bark of the tree is pounded into flour and made into cakes. The bark yields edible gums, is used locally in leather tanning, and is reported to be used to treat scorpion stings and snake bites. The flowers are valuable in honey production.
