Safety is primarily concerned with maintaining control over sources, whereas(radiation) protection is primarily concerned with controlling exposure to radiation and its effects. Clearly the two are closely connected : radiation protection(or radiological protection) is very much simpler if the source in question is under control, so safety necessarily contributes towards protection. ICCE is one of the commissions of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences(IAHS). The field of interest of ICCE may be broadly defined as including the erosion, transport and deposition of sediment and the interaction of these processes with other components of the environment and with water resource development. The Commission is principally concerned with promoting improved understanding of erosion and sedimentation processes, primarily as they relate to hydrology and fluvial geomorphology, and including both mechanical and chemical denudation. Bird Strike Committee Canada(BSCC) is primarily concerned with reducing the bird strike hazard. BSCC' s main objective is to provide a mechanism for the discussion of matters relating to bird hazard awareness and wildlife control at Canadian airports. As well, BSCC provides a vehicle through which the concerns of airlines relating to bird hazard and wildlife control can be reviewed and referred to Transport Canada or the Department of National Defence as appropriate. BSCC also operates as a forum for the dissemination and exchange of information on bird hazards and wildlife control between experts in the field. Additionally, fundamental studies and research are carried out, with committee members helping directly or indirectly with a project. Le but premier du Comité du péril aviaire du Canada (CPAC) est de réduire les risques associés au péril aviaire. Son principal objectif et de fournir un mécanisme permettant de discuter des questions relatives à la sensibilisation au péril aviaire et aux programmes de gestion de la faune aux aéroports canadiens. En outre, les compagnies aériennes peuvent faire connaître au CPAC les étudie et les réfère à Transports Canada ou au ministère de la Défense nationale, selon le cas. Here the two pairs of stays on the adjoining ends of the suspension spans are fixed to a common anchorage. The horizontal components of the tensions in these cables are equal and opposite so far as the dead weight is concerned and so cancel each other out.
