The goal of the course is to learn how to create a RADARSAT data acquisition plan and order data. This course is complementary to the course being offered by RADARSAT International on their products and services. The attendees will learn fundamentals of radar remote sensing and its application to the marine(ice/oceans) or land(agriculture/hydrology) environments(optimal beam modes, look direction, resolution etc). Developed specifically for use in the microgravity environment, the Space DRUMSÖ(Dynamically Responding Ultrasonic Matrix System) facility uses an acoustic levitation process that enables large fluid or solid material samples to be positioned and held stably in microgravity while they are being processed on the space station.
