Most cleaners use grid bars in conjunction with the various types of beaters. Fiber passes over the grid bars by the rotating beaters, and trash falls out through the grid bars … Where Kirschner or pin beaters are used, the beater slats should be replaced every six months or any time they become dull or damaged.

The AccuPinTM is a pin for the DNA chip arrayer that can be used not only for the Bioneer DNA HT-Arrayer and HT-Mini Arrayer but also arrayers from other companies. The Accupin is a capillary type pin that is more rugged than a steel pin, and shows no change in spot size even after 1,000,000 spottings. The Printhead is also produced to be compatible with every type of arrayer, and allows more even spots during DNA chip production.

OBS

Bioneer's AccuPin is the world's first spotting pin composed of glass. Compared to stainless steel, AccuPin can spot efficiently even at low impact speeds, and has a high durability, so that the tip does not become dull.

OBS

AccuPin™: A trademark of Bioneer.

Anglais

Subject field(s)
  • Coining
  • Coins and Bank Notes
  • Numismatics
DEF

The brightness on the surface of an uncirculated numismatic object resulting from the centrifugal flow of metal caused by striking with dies.

OBS

Mint lustre or bloom is somewhat frosty in appearance as opposed to the mirror-like smoothness of the field of a proof. Since the lustre of a coin can vary considerably due to factors such as wear, polishing of dies or blanks, exposure to chemicals, humidity, or temperature extremes, etc., it is an important indicator of the condition or grade of a coin. The qualities of lustre are often described by such adjectives as fiery, frosty, light frost, heavy frost, satiny, flat looking, matte, semi-matte, and so on. Although normally brilliant, with time, lustre may become dull, spotted, or discoloured. Lustre is easily worn through with the slightest amount of circulation and strong chemical cleaners will destroy it. Once the mint lustre is gone it cannot be properly restored.

Subject field(s)

CONT

Container gardening. Consider planting large containers filled with colorful annual flowers to brighten up dull spots in your landscape or camouflage a bad view. Containers can add height and dimension to a landscape. Bright flowers attract attention and become a focal point, drawing the eye away from a bad view. Thoughtfully placed they can become utilitarian pieces, too. A container can become a decorative flowering barrier, which your neighbors may appreciate more than a fence or a hedge.
