Inverse ETFs are designed to seek daily investment results that correspond to the inverse daily performance of their underlying index or benchmark. To meet their investment objectives, inverse ETFs use a variety of derivatives such as futures contracts and index swaps to reproduce a daily result that is the opposite of the underlying index or benchmark; so, when the index or benchmark goes down in value on a given day, the inverse ETF will correspondingly go up in value for that given day. Les FNB [fonds négociés en bourse] inversés sont conçus afin d'obtenir des résultats de placement quotidiens qui correspondent à l'inverse de la performance de leur indice sous-jacent ou de leur indice de référence.
