Pressurized Mating Adaptor (PMA) 3 will provide a place for an orbiter to dock with the U.S. segment of the International Space Station (ISS). PMA-3 includes mechanical interfaces, spacewalk hardware and thermal control equipment, electrical power subsystem (EPS) and command and data handling (C&DH) passthroughs. PMA-3 will not be used for docking until Mission 4A.

PMA-2[, ] the second unit was temporarily attached to Unity before launch and provides the initial docking interface for Shuttle missions with ISS [International Space Station]. One end is attached to Unity by a Passive Common Berthing Mechanism, while the other end uses an Androgynous Peripheral Attach System to connect with the Shuttle external airlock and docking system. Elle n'est fermée qu'en cas de nécessité, si on veut isoler Destiny du reste de la Station. L'autre écoutille donne sur le PMA2 (Pressurized Mating Adapter 2 - port d'arrimage pressurisé). Elle constituera le sas principal pour les prochaines visites de navettes spatiales, jusqu'à l'arrivée du Node-2, module de jonction du même type que le module Unity. Chaque écoutille a un hublot, et peut être fermée ou ouverte des deux côtés. [Pour éviter les risques de dépressurisation accidentelle], un dispositif de sécurité en bloque l'ouverture [lorsqu'il y a] une différence de pression entre l'intérieur et l'extérieur.

It is deployable on oceangoing ships and requires no docks, ports, berthing or cargo mover system. This hovercraft comes with a complete support system. The LACV-30 transportation system includes maintenance, technical assistance and training of operators and crew tailored to your requests.

Le NAVIPLANE N300 est un véhicule sur coussin d'air de taille intermédiaire conçu pour le transport de passagers ou de frêt. Sa spécificité est la navigation en eaux peu profondes, interdite aux bâteaux du fait de leur tirant d'eau. Il est adapté aux liaisons vers les îles ou la traversée d'estuaires, bras de mer, rivières, lacs ainsi qu'au service côtier avec des creux de vague jusqu'à 1,50 mètre. [...] Chacune des deux turbines entraîne deux ventilateurs de sustentation et une hélice de propulsion à pas variable. Les quatre ventilateurs créent sous la coque un coussin d'air maintenu par une jupe périphérique souple. Le véhicule évolue à 15 cm au-dessus de la surface portante (eau ou sol). Huit jupes coniques internes assurent la stabilité de l'ensemble en cas de surface portante non plane (relief ou creux de vague). La sustentation utilise environ 1/3 de la puissance totale, les 2/3 servant à la propulsion.
