During the Train to Train stage(females 11-15, males 12-16), young athletes need to build an aerobic base and consolidate their sport-specific skills. Towards the end of the stage, they need to focus on strength and the anaerobic alactic energy system. Increased training hours are needed at this stage to develop each athlete's long-term potential. The ages that define the Train to Train stage are based on the approximate onset and end of the adolescent growth spurt. This period is generally defined as ages 11 to 15 years for females and 12 to 16 years for males. At this stage, athletes are ready to consolidate their basic sport-specific skills and tactics. It is also a major fitness development stage. The Train to Train stage makes or breaks the athlete. The National Artists Program, a federally funded project held in conjunction with the 2003 Canada Winter Games, will be held in Bathurst and Campbellton, New Brunswick from February 22 to March 8, 2003. The Program will focus on the following four artistic disciplines : Dance, Music, Theatre Arts and Visual Arts. The primary objective is to create artistic works inspired by and representative of the spirit of the Canada Games. The Games motto "Come Celebrate Winter", local settings, Games sporting venues, and the wide diversity of the participants should provide an excellent starting point for these artistic works. Four participants from each province and territory between the ages of 16 and 23 years of age(one in each of the four disciplines) will be featured during the two weeks of the Games. The participant will travel on the chartered airplanes as part of the provincial/territorial teams, the cost being borne by the federal government. 1967. Three kinds of sets of the new-design(Canadian wildlife) coins were offered to collectors by the Royal Canadian Mint : 1. the familiar six-coin set in plastic, 2. a set in a red leather-covered case(containing a sterling silver medallion in addition to the standard six coins), and 3. a "gold set" in a black leather-covered case. 1967.
