Wind speed is the measurement of the wind blowing toward your observation station. It is measured using a wind instrument such as an anemometer or visual observation using the Beaufort scale. The speed of the wind is recorded on your station model by adding hash marks and pennants at the end of the shaft you used to record the wind direction. The hash marks and pennants should be drawn on the right side of the wind shaft as viewed by a person facing the wind with their back to the station. The [continuous extrusion blow-molding] process has three subcategories : the rising mold method, the rotary method, and the shuttle method. In the rising mold method, the parison is continuously extruded directly above the mold cavity. When it is at the proper length, the mold rises quickly to capture the parison and returns downward to the blow station. Intermittent extrusion is the second basic extrusion blow-molding category. In this process the parison is quickly extruded after the bottle is removed from the mold. The mold clamping mechanism does not need to transfer to a blowing station. Blow molding, cooling, and part removal all take place under the extrusion head, which also allows the clamping system to be more simple and rugged. In the shuttle method a blowing station is located on one or both sides of the extruder. As the parison reaches the proper length, the blow mold and clamp quickly shuttle to a point under the extrusion head, capture and cut the parison, and return to the blowing station.
