... the nailing of wooden shingles and slates are entirely different. The heads of slating nails should just touch the slate and should not be driven "home" or draw the slate, but left with the heads just clearing the slate hangs on the nail. The opposite is true of wooden shingles and a man used to laying this material will invariably handle slate in the same way. Extrusion stretch blow moulding(ESBM). A parison is extruded and as the preblow mould closes, a mandrel descends to form the bottle neck. The parison is subsequently pinched and inflated, then conditioned at the optimum temperature for orientation in the next stage. Transfer of the blown and conditioned preform to the stretch-blow mould takes place; fabrication of the finished part is achieved by stretching in the circumferential direction(pneumatic inflation) and in the longitudinal direction(mechanical push-rod), followed by rapid cooling to prevent relaxation of the(biaxial) molecular orientation. The heart of the fluidized bed system is the reactor. The reactor is a refractory-lined steel shell with a bed of small inert particles, usually sand. Air is blown through the sand from the bottom which causes the bed to behave like a fluid. This fluid bed has an extremely high heat transfer rate which aids in combustion.
