L'Association internationale des juges aux affaires des réfugiés veut faire davantage reconnaître que la protection contre la persécution en raison de la race, de la religion, de la nationalité, de l'appartenance à un groupe social ou des opinions politiques est un droit individuel reconnu par le droit international et que l'attribution, ou la perte, du statut de réfugié doivent être décidées en conformité avec le principe de la légalité.
