So if you see such a message, back up your drive and be prepared to replace it soon.... It would be a good idea to back it up to some external media and then buy a compatible disk, and make an image copy so you can directly replace that failing disk.

The term "SSD" is used for two different kinds of products. The first, SSDs based on fast, volatile memory such as SDRAM [synchronous dynamic random access memory], ... The second type of SSD uses flash memory to store data.

When recording is completed, the device is then connected to a personal computer via a FireWire cable and the data on the disk can be accessed and edited.
