These, [ex-works and ex-store contracts] again, are contracts which specify with greater particularity the place of delivery of goods. Under such contracts it is the duty of the buyer to collect the goods from the works or store(whichever be involved) at which time property and risk, unless otherwise agreed, will pass to the buyer. Ex-works or ex-store contracts... can hardly be considered as export sales at all, since it is the buyer's duty to take delivery at the works or store in question, and what he does with them after that is entirely his own affair. ex-works : Expression meaning that the seller's only responsibility is to make the goods available at his premises(i. e. works or factory). In particular he is not responsible for loading the goods in the vehicle provided by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed.
