Installation of underground storage tank system... The New Mexico Underground Storage Tank Regulations(USTR) require performance standards for new UST systems and upgrading older systems. These standards are aimed at prevention of releases due to structural failure, corrosion, spills and overfills as long as the UST system is used to store regulated substances. For new tanks four options exist : fiberglass reinforced plastic(FRP) ;steel, if cathodically protected; a Steel-FRP composite; or metal with no corrosion protection of certain soil conditions exist. New piping that routinely contains product must also meet the requirements. The United Nations Development Program(UNDP) launched the MicroStart programme in February 1997. The purpose of the programme is to build a new generation of microfinance institutions(MFIs) that have transparent track records and solid institutional and financial performance, which enable them to reach poor clients while operating on a sustainable basis. MicroStart also aims to improve the practice of microfinance within the UN system by establishing guidelines, providing technical assistance, and promoting training and learning opportunities that incorporate best practice in the field. Le Programme des Nations Unies pour le développement (PNUD) a lancé le programme MicroStart, en février 1997. L’objectif du programme MicroStart est de bâtir une nouvelle génération d’institutions de microfinance (IMF), qui font montre de transparence, possèdent de solides capacités institutionnelles et sont financièrement performantes – des caractéristiques qui leur permettent d’atteindre les clients défavorisés de manière durable. MicroStart vise également à affiner la pratique de la microfinance au sein du système des Nations Unies. Il propose ainsi des orientations, fournit une assistance technique, favorise la formation et l’apprentissage grâce à l’intégration des pratiques de microfinance ayant fait leurs preuves sur le terrain. Le programme est né suite à la demande des bureaux régionaux du PNUD qui nécessitaient un appui pratique et opérationnel pour les aider à exécuter des programmes de qualité, ciblés sur un créneau bien défini du secteur en pleine expansion qu’est la microfinance. Depuis son lancement en 1997, MicroStart a été déployé ou est déployé dans vingt pays, et des subventions ont été octroyées à 68 institutions de microfinance (IMF).  1, fiche 3, Français, - MicroStart

Ultra High Resolution Spectrometer(UHRS).... Laser spectroscopy has stimulated the development of spectrometers with improved performance and has led SOPRA to develop a new line of monochromators with ultra-high resolution. SOPRA has designed the mechanical parts in the most careful way to take the best advantage of the newest diffraction gratings. The instrument function of a monochromator is defined by the product : Resolution X Luminosity/Noise=RL/N. The resolution R directly depends on the diffraction grating and the focal length. The luminosity L depends on the area, on the efficiency of the grating, and on the slits. The noise N is essentially caused by the light scattered by the grating through the output slit and it diminishes when the focal length is increased.
