A key characteristic of the secondary lock is the shear pin which holds the secondary lock lever in place during normal operation, but easily shears to allow the actuator to release the door latches. The shear pin is designed to shear at a pre-determined force, and thus allow the opening of the door latches, and in turn, the door. The rotor of the air-driven gyro is mounted in a sealed housing. Filtered air is brought into the gyro housing through passages in the rear pivot, the gimbal ring, and the side pivots. The air then blows against the rotor through two angled nozzles on opposite sides of the housing. The circumference of the rotor is machined with dozens of little bucket-like cutouts which allow the airflow to spin the rotor like a waterwheel (but a whole lot faster). The hand firing lever and rod is the simple mechanical hand method for firing the weapon when the electric solenoid is not working, typically used only as a backup firing mechanism. Stored Pressure Anti-Freeze and Cartridge Anti-Freeze-USES : Paper, wood and rubbish fires, etc.-These extinguishers are stored pressure with instantaneous action for all Class A fires. To operate, pull the pin and squeeze the lever and a 45 foot stream is immediately projected. Both of the above extinguishers can be used on the outside areas as they will not freeze.
