The goals of the DDR program were threefold : 1) to collect, register and destroy all conventional weapons turned in by combatants; 2) to demobilize approximately 45, 000 combatants, 12 percent of whom were thought to be women, from the Sierra Leone Army, Revolutionary United Front, Armed Forces Revolutionary Council and Civil Defence Forces, and; 3) to assist ex-combatants through demobilization to prepare them for reintegration. 1, fiche 1, Anglais, - disarmament%2C%20demobilization%20and%20reintegration%20program

The Iraqi Revolutionary Command Council was established after the military coup in 1968, and was the ultimate decision making body in Iraq before the 2003 American-led invasion. It exercised both executive and legislative authority in the country, with the Chairman and Vice Chairman chosen by a two-thirds majority of the council.
