A study in Germany showed that face-to-face interviews recorded less incidents of victimization as opposed to written(postal) surveys. Reports also document rather unpredictable effects. When a switch was made from face-to-face interviewing to CATI [Computer Assisted Telephone Interview] in the international crime victim survey carried out in Spain and Northern Ireland in 2005, the results showed a substantial decrease of victimization rates in Spain and an equally substantial increase in Northern Ireland. There is little way of knowing whether and to what extent the new interview mode has affected these changes

Cependant, la résistance de son principal partenaire commercial, les États-Unis, à l'adoption du système métrique, ainsi que la résistance dans la population au nouveau système ont fait que le Canada vit toujours, en 2014, avec les deux systèmes, le Système international (SI) et le système impérial. In countries like Spain or France,... experiments to evaluate apricot resistance have to be carried out in controlled conditions using insect-proof greenhouses. One of the most important aspects of such growth conditions is the application of periods of artificially induced dormancy in cold chambers so that tree species from temperate zones can undergo the necessary endodormancy-breaking step.
