The conception of what should be understood as "term" or "terminological unit"(used herein as synonyms) has varied depending on the theoretical view of terminology specialists. After analysing three of the most important books in the field, two positions can be identified : 1. a term is simply the verbal form of a concept [and] 2. a term is a unit of form and content.

La physique théorique dégage et applique les lois et crée et met en œuvre les concepts physiques sous la contrainte de la physique expérimentale et en interréaction étroite avec celle-ci. Elle comporte différents niveaux, qui peuvent aller de l'interprétation de tel résultat expérimental spécialisé à l'aide des lois physiques connues jusqu'à la recherche de lois fondamentales nouvelles. Elle est mathématique dans la mesure où les mathématiques jouent le rôle constitutif qu'on a indiqué plus haut. On désigne en général sous le nom de physique mathématique une activité beaucoup plus spécialisée, que l'on pourrait décrire comme une tâche de refonte et d'épuration de la physique théorique. [...] Il s'agit [...] d'une activité [...] portant sur des théories et des concepts déjà créés et assurés. Elle permet d'évaluer le degré exact de corrélation entre un certain nombre d'énoncés théoriques, donc d'estimer la rigidité ou la souplesse relatives d'un système théorique face à la nécessité ou à l'éventualité d'une refonte.

The term Attract & Kill(or Lure and Kill) is normally used for pheromone(or other attractant) based control methods that use an insecticide to kill the target pest. Mass Trapping, as the name implies, depends on the use of a mechanical device(insect trap) to remove the insect from the population. From a theoretical point of view, the approaches are very similar. Both methods rely on attracting the pest to a pheromone(or other attractant) source and removing the insect from the breeding population.

Like other attractants, colored objects can be used in traps for monitoring or mass trapping [...] Yellow, sticky-coated cards or plastic cups are widely used in mass trapping programs to help control whiteflies in greenhouses.

In distillation process, the trays are at different temperatures and their function is the transfer of both mass and heat. At each tray, the rising vapor is warmer than the falling liquid and the tray temperature is somewhere in between. The temperature of the tray is at the boiling point of the liquid on the tray. ... Distillation tray efficiencies are a measure of the physical equilibrium attained on the tray between the liquid and the vapors. The efficiencies normally range from 50 to 80%.
