ICISA was established in Paris in 1928 as the International Credit Insurance Association(ICIA) In 2001 the name was changed to the International Credit Insurance & Surety Association, to reflect the fact that more than half of its members were by then(also) involved in the underwriting of surety business. ICISA commemorated its 75th anniversary in 2003. From its inception until 1999, the Association was based in Switzerland, where it is still registered under Swiss Civil Code. From 1999 until 2003 the head office of the Association was based in London, where it shared it's premises with the Berne Union. In July of 2003 the Association moved to Amsterdam.

The Union of Northern Workers(UNW) or the Northwest Territories(NWT) Public Service Association as it was known then, began organizing employees of the new Territorial Government in 1969. In 1988, the Government of Northwest Territories(GNWT) passed the Union of Northern Workers Act which officially changed the name of the organization and recognized the UNW as the bargaining agent for its members working for the government. The Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union(RWDSU) represents approximately 6000 Saskatchewan working women and men throughout Saskatchewan. Our members include workers at retails stores such as IGA, Canada Safeway, O. K. Economy and Co-operative Associations. From the time of the establishment of the Royal Canadian Navy in 1910 until the arrival of the Maple Leaf national flag in 1965, HMC Ships wore the White Ensign, and naval shore parties on the march carried the White Ensign. It was a white flag with a red St. George’s cross overall, with the Union flag in the upper canton at the hoist. It was identical to that worn by ships of the Royal Navy and other navies of the Commonwealth.

As for the system management, the French Decree of 22 December 1995 states that flows or pollution loads exceeding the reference capacity of the treatment plant may be temporarily admitted. This is especially interesting in the case of separate wastewater sewerage, as inappropriate connections of runoff water and rainfall induced infiltration cause hydraulic overloads in such networks. An automated influent flow control has been implemented on a 8000 population equivalent plant to admit a maximum of twice the dry weather peak flow: the clarifier is then dynamically managed so that neither sludge loss nor degradation through anoxic conditions may occur.

Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. The holiday was first proclaimed on 5 May 1868, by General John Logan in his General Order No. 11, and was first observed on 30 May 1868, when flowers were placed on the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers. The South refused to acknowledge Decoration Day, honoring their dead on separate days until after World War I. It is now celebrated in almost every state on the last Monday in May.
