La peinture au pistolet donne un travail régulier et rapide si on connaît quelques règles techniques : 1/ Choisir une buse de projection adaptée à la peinture. 2/ Diluer la peinture suivant les indications du pot. 3/ Tenir le pistolet à 20 ou 25 cm de la surface à peindre. 4/ Déplacer le pistolet parallèlement à la surface, en un mouvement régulier et assez rapide pour déposer une couche fine de peinture, sinon il y a des coulures. 5/ Peindre en faisant un quadrillage : d'abord des aller et retour horizontaux puis verticaux.
