The Union for African Population Studies(UAPS) is a pan-African nonprofit scientific organization that was founded through the initiative of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa(UNECA) in March 1984, with a view to promoting the scientific study of population in Africa. L'Union pour l'étude de la population africaine est une organisation scientifique panafricaine à but non lucratif. Créé à l'initiative de la Commission Économique pour l'Afrique des Nations Unies en mars 1984, elle vise à promouvoir l'étude scientifique de population en Afrique.
