Because room-scale VR allows a guest to walk around a physical play area, where the physical motions of the guest within the play area are reflected in the virtual environment, room-scale VR can provide a more compelling VR experience that is less dependent on being able to render high-quality visual and audio content. In particular, with a greater level of interaction available to a guest in room-scale VR, minor deficiencies in the presentation of video or audio content are less likely to detract from the immersive aspects of the room-scale VR experience, wherein a guest perceives that he or she is actually physically present in the virtual environment.

A case library is a collection of historical cases or stories arranged in such as way as to allow access to cases that are relevant to the user at a particular time(Kolodner, 1993). The rationale is that providing stories(cases) of other people's experiences helps students fill in where their own experience is deficient(Schank, 1990; Kolodner, 1993). Learning from historical cases occurs two ways : comparison/reconciliation and comparison/reasoning.

Dans notre exemple, l'élève choisissait une voiture et un trajet puis, se retrouvait plongé dans la situation virtuelle. Au cours de celle-ci, il pouvait demander de l'aide (aide contextuelle). Plutôt guidé jusque là, l'élève allait par la suite avoir une plus grande marge d'exploration, de liberté, lors des situations où plusieurs choix lui sont présentés. En cas d'erreur (mauvais choix), une explication directe de son erreur lui sera donnée, puis il sera à nouveau exposé à la même situation pour réajuster ses choix. En cas de réussite, la situation continuera à se dérouler, l'exposant à d'autres difficultés.
