Le Centre canadien de lutte contre l'alcoolisme et les toxicomanies (CCLAT) a entamé des négociations auprès de Santé Canada, de l'Association des distillateurs canadiens et de l'Association des brasseurs du Canada, qui ont accordé leur patronat et finalement permis d'ouvrir le Service d'information sur les FAS/EAF dès avril 1994. A 3D seismic survey is a method that allows the creation of images of the subsurface geology by inducing an acoustic wave from near the surface of the earth and listening for the echoes from deeper parts of the earth(much like ultra-sound is used to create pictures of unborn babies in their mother's wombs).
