While certain characteristics of each consultant trust fund differ, in general terms the consultant trust funds are a means of furthering dialogue and collaboration between CIDA and the Multilateral Development Banks(MDBs) and exposing Canadian expertise to the MDBs. Overall administration and management of the consultant trust funds rests with the MDB itself based on guidelines to which it has agreed with CIDA. This includes identification of possible assignments, and selection and contracting of consultants.
