A digital integration of satellite imagery, land use, land cover, and topographic data to produce an "image map" with contour lines and vector planimetry information.

OBS

This new concept of thematic mapping was developed to take advantage ofimprovements in digital processing and integration of spatial information, increased compatibility of multisource data sets, the wide use of geographic information systems to synthesize information and execute analyses customized for the user, and increased ability to present the data in cartographic form.

The shear vector is the difference in the wind vector between two different heights. Both the wind and the shear vector may change with height, either veering or backing.

The first helicopter simulators used a rotor map technique which calculated the total thrust vector of the main rotor on the basis of a series of stored steady states... The simulator was therefore quite realistic in steady flight states, but... [not] in transient condition... in order to achieve realism, the main rotor had to be simulated blade by blade throughout every rotation(blade element modelling), so that factors like interference and cross-coupling could be taken into account.
