The John Howard Society is an organization of citizens who accept responsibility for understanding and dealing with the problems of crime and the criminal justice system. Our mission is to promote effective, just and humane responses to crime and its causes. New Beginnings for Youth is an Ottawa based not-for-profit charitable organization serving the needs of youth since 1986. It offers a variety of programs that encourage life long learning outside of the traditional classroom. A small team of professional staff are supported by a wide range of multi-disciplined volunteers. Founded in 1990, the Infertility Awareness Association of Canada, Inc.(IAAC) is a national registered charitable organization working for choice and access to treatment options for those with infertility concerns. This is achieved through awareness, support and education. The IAAC is governed by a volunteer National Board of Directors. Chapters(in 1999 located in Halifax, Montréal, Ottawa and Winnipeg), affiliates, and regional and community contacts are located across Canada.
