Summer Career Placements(SCP) is a wage subsidy program that enables private, public and not-for-profit employers to create career-related summer jobs for students. SCP proposals are judged on how well the proposed jobs prepare students for the labour market and the type of supervision, learning and work experience offered. Employers gain by hiring high-school, college or university students for 6 to 16 weeks, and students benefit by gaining experience in their chosen fields.
