By blocking the view of the outside world, the user’s senses are focused on the images, thereby engaging the user in the experience. This can help to make the experience more realistic.

In a general aspect, a virtual reality headset can include a plurality of structural components, where each structural component can be formed from a respective cardboard sheet. The plurality of structural components being folded to form the VR headset. The plurality of structural components can include a plurality of flaps that define an opening for placement of the VR headset near or against a face of a user in a first configuration of the VR headset an internal wall of the VR headset, a bottom wall of the VR headset, a lens frame assembly, a top wall of the VR headset and an enclosure flap hingeably coupled with the bottom wall of the VR headset. The enclosure flap can be configured, in the first configuration of the VR headset, to secure an electronic device in the VR headset against the internal wall. In a second configuration of the VR headset, the enclosure flap can be configured to enclose the plurality of flaps that define the opening between the internal wall and the enclosure flap.

In a rat-trap bond wall, both sides of the wall look the same. Sandwiched between each side's shiner is a cavity. The name of the bond is in reference to this cavity.

A fabric retaining wall consists of horizontal layers of fabric-containing earth fill with one side of the fabric folded back around the exposed edge and lapped over the next layer to form the wall face.... At the face of the wall the fabric retains the soil from spilling out, while in the interior of the fill fabric tensile stress is developed, which stabilizes the mass.

The competitive offshoot of sport climbing in which competitors, competing in UIAA events for prize money and with the backing of sponsors, attempt to scale a cliff face or an artificial climbing wall in the fastest possible time or, alternately, attempt to see who among them can climb the highest in the alloted amount of time.

The degree of difficulty in competition climbing is based on the Taquitz decimal system. The difficulty indicators range from 5.0 for the easiest climb to 5.14 for the most difficult. From 5.10 to 5.14, the difficulty indicators are further divided into A,B,C, and D (e.g. 5.10A, 5.10B etc.) with the most difficult climb in the world currently rating a 5.14C/D.

The term "competition climbing" serves to denote the competitive side of sport climbing.
