Bienvenue au Gramophone virtuel : Enregistrements historiques canadiens, un site Web multimédia consacré à l'enregistrement sonore durant la première moitié du siècle au Canada. L'industrie phonographique a commencé en janvier 1900 au Canada avec le lancement des disques 78 tours par la Berliner Company of Montreal. Le disque 78 tours a dominé l'industrie phonographique jusqu'à ce qu'il soit supplanté par les 45 tours et 33,3 tours, au milieu des années 50.
