The face flange was parallel to the bulwark and had a pad-eye and a lug welded to it, which were used for securing blocks during fishing operations. Of the two rigging attachments, the one near the upper end was a lug and the other... was a pad-eye. Using a sulky makes it possible to increase the hauling distance up to about 500 metres. This axle, equipped with two automobile wheels, is designed to support the ends of the trunks which usually drag on the ground. It consists of an axle about 1. 5 m(5 ft) wide whose rounded surface makes it easier for the trunks to slide. A removable stake is installed on each side of the sulky, to contain the load. L'utilisation d'un essieu-porteur permet d'augmenter la distance de débardage jusqu'à environ 500 mètres. Cet essieu, muni de deux roues d'automobiles, est conçu de façon à supporter l'extrémité des troncs qui traîne habituellement au sol. Il se compose d'un essieu d'une largeur d'environ 1.5 m (5 pi) et dont la surface arrondie facilite le glissement des troncs. Deux piquets amovibles sont installés de chaque côté de celui-ci, pour contenir la charge.
