A special case of process lapse rate, defined as the rate of decrease of temperature with height of an air parcel lifted in a saturation-adiabatic process through an atmosphere in hydrostatic equilibrium.

So, if condensation is taking place, latent heat is being released to the surrounding air. So you have two opposing trends going on at the same time within this parcel of air. It's rising and cooling, but it's also condensing and being warmed. Which one will win out? That is, will the air get colder, or will it get warmer? Well, what happens is that the air will still cool off, but not as fast. If water vapor in the air is condensing, the adiabatic rate is less. The air is only cooling off at a rate of about 5 degrees C/1000 meters(3. 3 deg per 1000 feet). This is called the Saturated adiabatic lapse rate(or the wet adiabatic lapse rate, or the moist adiabatic lapse rate, depending on the textbook you are using). The saturated lapse rate varies with the original temperature of the air parcel, but 5 degrees C/1000 meters is a commonly used value.

OBS

The pseudoadiabatic lapse rate is so close to the moist adiabatic lapse rate that meteorologists tend to ignore this difference and often refer to them synonymously. In fact, on adiabatic charts (or pseudoadiabatic charts), the moist adiabatic lapse rate lines are referred to interchangeably as moist, saturated, or pseudoadiabatic.

What you do is you sit on your board sideways facing your partner, while your partner does the same. You turn by having the person on the turning side lean back, like he’s on the trapeze of a catamaran. The person on the nonturning [side] leans in to help out with the turn.

I’m posting today to ask your opinion about whether David should participate in catamaran skateboarding. What is it, you ask? Well, let me explain. There are two skateboarders set parallel to each other a couple of feet apart. Each one is equipped with a toochas pad for comfort and two handles for steering. The riders sit on the boards with their bodies facing each other, their legs resting on the other person's deck, and both looking in the direction of travel. Turning is accomplished by one person leaning back and pulling on their handles, at the same time the other person leans forward and pushes on theirs. There are no brakes.

What I found most different is that with a canard pusher airplane, you don’t have any propwash over the wing with the elevator. Unlike a C150, where you can lift the nose off very soon after starting your takeoff roll, the canard won’t lift the nose off till you have built up considerable speed(60-70 kts). Of course, while this speed is building you are steering with the brakes and rudders. Steering this ways is different too. The high speed taxi tests will get you conditioned for this aspect. I found the approach and landing to be quite conventional, a bit fast. I think the "fly it on" landing technique makes landing a Cozy easier than landing a C172.

Windows programs are based around a standard set of features known as the application program interface or API. All programs call on the API for most of their functions. But some of the API functions are not accessed directly from Visual Basic. Using the API is not difficult, but the API is picky. Everything must be just so, and much of what you have to add to your programs is quite detailed. The API viewer enables you to cut and paste the required declarations. It helps you avoid errors and is a great time saver.

Thinking characterized by speech in which ideas shift from one subject to another that is completely unrelated or only obliquely related to the first without the speaker's showing any awareness that the topics are unconnected. When loosening of associations is severe, speech may be incoherent. The term is generally not applied when abrupt shifts in topics are associated with a nearly continuous flow of accelerated speech(as in flight of ideas). Example : Interviewer :"What did you think of the whole Watergate affair?" Subject :"You know I didn’t tune in on that, I felt so bad about it. But it seemed to get so murky, and everybody's reports were so negative. Huh, I thought, I don’t want any part of this, and I don’t care who was in on it, and all I could figure out was Artie had something to do with it. Artie was trying to flush the bathroom toilet of the White House or something. She was trying to do something fairly simple. The tour guests stuck or something. She got blamed because the water overflowed, went down in the basement, down, to the kitchen. They had a, they were going to have to repaint and restore the White House room, the enormous living room. And then it was at this reunion they were having. ’And it's just such a mess and I just thought, well, I’m just going to pretend like I don’t even know what's going on. So I came downstairs and cause I pretended like I didn’t know what was going on, I slipped on the floor of the kitchen, cracking my toe, when I was teaching some kids how to do some double dives". Loosening of associations may be seen in Schizophrenia, Manic Episodes, and other psychotic disorders.
