These single wheel axles are the ones responsible for moving and turning the Assystem City Car. The front wheel is powered by an electrical engine with 20 kW(about 27 cv), which can push the car to 50 km/h of top speed and has 30 km of autonomy, basically what regular people need to go to work and back home every day. For the roads, there is a little combustion engine that delivers 60 cv in the rear axle. It can lead the vehicle to a top speed of 130 km/h and, with its 30 l fuel tank, can carry the Assystem City Car to up to 600 km. Both engines can be used together, what turns this car into a hybrid. This vehicle, albeit small, can carry up to five people and their luggage. It has a low gravity center, what enhances dynamics, its oval shape prevents serious accident consequences and, when visibility is low, a screen takes the place of the regular windshield and shows the driver infrared images of the road, guiding him/her safely to destination.

The Labourer-Teacher program(L-T for short) is the original literacy program of Frontier College. We recruit, train and send Labourer-Teachers to work and teach across Canada. Currently Labourer-Teachers are placed primarily in agricultural settings : on farms and in processing plants. They have also worked on rail gangs, in lumber and mining camps, in prisons, in urban factories and in remote communities. Wherever they are, Labourer-Teachers do the same heavy labour jobs as other workers. In peak season, this can mean 12 hours per day, 6-7 days per week. For this work, Labourer-Teachers are paid the same as their co-workers-usually minimum wage. In addition to this physical work, Labourer-Teachers volunteer their time to provide educational and recreational opportunities for their co-workers. On that day in Kingston in 1841, Governor General Lord Sydenham opened the first Parliament of the United Provinces of Canada. Evantually, Kingston's insufficient number of office buildings forced Parliament to move to Montreal, where it opened on November 28, 1844. Over 160 years later, both the provincial and the federal governments have officially recognized Kingston as the First Capital of Canada. Thanks to the hard work of Mr. Ian Milne and Dr. Margaret Angus, the founders of First Capital Day, the occasion of Kingston's choice as Canada's first capital has been marked with much celebration for the past five years.

A major challenge we faced in attempting to redefine the company's performance management and review training was that its managers are very busy. They don’t want to take two weeks out of any business quarter to practice giving reviews. Since they don’t need to use these skills every day, mastering them seems of secondary importance to their daily work. Besides, if they take a training course and then wait three months before giving their first review, they’ll probably forget everything they learned anyway. This is excatly why we felt it was so important to give managers the opportunity to practice these skills in a safe, simulated environment just before giving employee reviews. With quality computer-based training, managers could use e-learning a week before the review period to begin to brush up on their skills and prepare for the reviews.

Daily TCDD exposure scores range from 0. 001 to 1250. Cumulative TCDD exposure scores are distributed from 0. 002 to 1, 651, 611 exposure score days. The TCDD cumulative exposure score, which incorporates both duration and level of exposure, provides a means for ranking workers for evaluating the relationship between TCDD exposure and mortality in a retrospective cohort study analysis.

[Adaptation française : VLE-Moyenne pondérée dans le temps.] Cette valeur représente la concentration moyenne, pondérée en fonction du temps, pour une journée de travail normale, 5 jours par semaine, soit une semaine normale de 40 heures; c'est la concentration à laquelle presque tous les travailleurs peuvent être exposés, jour après jour, sans que leur santé en subisse d'effet adverse.
