On May 1, 2008, Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) launched the National Youth Network. Twelve years and several iterations later it was rebranded as Vanguard: PSPC’s Young Professionals Network. Le 1er mai 2008, Services publics et Approvisionnement Canada (SPAC) a lancé le Réseau national des jeunes. Douze ans et plusieurs versions plus tard, il a été rebaptisé Avant-Garde : Réseau des jeunes professionnels de SPAC. Youth Week is a time for youth to come together and celebrate the good they bring to our country. The goal of Youth Week is to motivate and inspire young people across Canada to contribute to their community year-round. Information obtenue d'Action jeunesse. La Semaine de la Jeunesse est une célébration annuelle qui a eu lieu durant la première semaine du mois de mai dans plusieurs pays du monde. L'objectif est de motiver et inspirer les jeunes à s'impliquer dans leurs communautés à l'année longue. Au Canada, des organismes jeunesse, des groupes communautaires ainsi que ces jeunes individus organisent des événements tels que des journées de service communautaire, des forums de jeunes, des corvées environnementales et des concerts bénéfices locaux. Nous espérons projeter une meilleure image des jeunes dû au reportage des activités de la Semaine de la Jeunesse 1997 ainsi qu'aux reportages spéciaux sur des groupes jeunesse et profils de jeunes chefs de file.
