A technical momentum indicator that compares the magnitude of recent gains to recent losses in an attempt to determine overbought and oversold conditions of an asset.

Le signal direct et le signal retardé sont ensuite additionnés pour donner un signal de forme rectangulaire dont la hauteur garde l’information énergie. Avec ces appareils, le rapport signal/bruit est médiocre car il n’y a pas de filtre de mise en forme. Cependant, pour des détecteurs de mauvaise résolution (scintillateurs, chambre d’ionisation), ils conviennent parfaitement, d’autant plus que l’on peut générer des signaux de faible durée donc compatibles avec les forts taux de comptage.

The inclination of a satellite, together with its orbital altitude and the period of its orbit, creates a track defined by an imaginary line connecting the satellite and the Earth's center. A good understanding of the basic axis system used to describe aircraft motion is necessary to fully appreciate flight test data, since all measurements are referenced to this axis system. Aircraft translational motion is described in terms of motion in three different directions, each direction being perpendicular to the other two(orthogonal). Motion in the X direction is forward and aft velocity. The Y direction produces sideways motion to the left and right, and up and down motion is in the Z direction... There are several slightly different versions of the basic axis system just described. They differ primarily in the exact placement of the zero reference lines, but are generally similar in their directions.(For example, the body-axis system uses the fuselage center line as the x axis, while a wind-axis system uses the direction that the aircraft is moving through the air as the x axis.)

When an inertial navigation system is immobile, the gyros measure bias values that are integrated by the calculator and the unit thinks that it is rotating, and therefore advancing across the surface of the terrestrial globe, which generates a position error. It will be understood that position error shows linear growth over time and there is a direct relationship between the accuracy of a gyro and position drift.

In mathematical terms, vertical lines run parallel to the y axis and horizontal lines run parallel to the x axis. Axis locks serve this function in an interactive design system. When the user draws a line with the axis lock turned on, the system assumes that a perfectly vertical or horizontal line is desired and sets the y or x difference of the roughly specified line to zero, locking it into a horizontal or vertical orientation.

The ridge count from each finger is obtained by counting the number of ridges traversing a straight line running from the triradius to the centre of the pattern. The sum of the counts from the 10 fingers makes up the total ridge count. Since an arch has no triradius, its ridge count will be zero; while a whorl, with two triradii will normally have a higher ridge count than a loop.

Persons with the XO condition have the highest average total ridge count of all the groups tested, while the available data on XXY males suggests a somewhat lower TRC than normal XY males.

Basically, charts are drawn according to the system of rectangular co-ordinates. Rectangular co-ordinates are based on two straight reference lines perpendicular to each other in a plane(...) The horizontal line is usually referred to as the X-axis, or the abscissa, whereas the vertical line is referred to as the Y-axis, or the ordinate. The two lines divide the plane into four parts called quadrants(...) The point of intersection of the two lines is called the origin, or zero point.
