Buntline fisherman's bend. This bend is an amalgamation of a buntline hitch and a fisherman's bend, and was first described by John Mellor in an article published by Yachting Monthly magazine in 1974. Nœud de grappin pour cordage lisse. Ce nœud est une combinaison du nœud de grappin classique et de demi-clefs à capeler. Il fut mentionné pour la première fois par John Mellor dans un article publié par Yachting Monthly en 1974. A very satisfactory anchor is made by placing a 1 m(3 ft) iron bar, with a slight bend at the bottom and a 2. 5 cm(1 in.) eye at the top, in a post hole, leaving the eye slightly above the surface of the ground.... Selon lui, le chas est l'anneau situé à l'extrémité d'une tige cylindrique et constituant une des parties d'un ancrage.
