As the net is hauled, fish are "shook back" from the trap into the bunt. The bunt is untied and the fish removed; the bunt is then retied. When performing the straight leg raise test the patient is positioned supine in the absence of pillows. The clinician lifts the patient's symptomatic leg by the posterior ankle while keeping the knee in a fully extended position. The clinician continues to lift the patient's leg by flexing at the hip until pain is illicited or end range is reached. Neurologic pain which is reproduced in the leg and low back between 30-70 degrees of hip flexion is a positive result of lumbar disc herniation at the L4-S1 nerve roots. In order to make this test more specific, the ankle can be dorsiflexed and the cervical spine flexed. Start this exercise by kneeling with one knee at the end of a weight bench. Support your body with the hand on the weight bench. Pick up a dumbbell with your other hand. Keep your back straight and flat in line with the bench. Do not arch your back. Lift the dumbbell straight up keeping your arm close to your body. Touch the weight to your chest, hold for one to two seconds. Slowly move weight back down till arm is almost fully extended. Reciprocating screw systems. In a reciprocating(in-line) screw, the material is fed from the hopper, plasticized in the screw, and forced past a one-way valve at the injection end of the screw. The material accumulates in front of the screw, forcing back the screw, its drive and motor, and the pistons of the two hydraulic injection cylinders.... When the screw reaches a certain position, it contacts a limit switch that stops the rotation. Joy presently offer both chain ripper miners and the rotary drum head-type miners introduced in 1968. However, the rotary drum head machines are proving to be the more popular and look to be superseding the chain ripper models produced by Joy. In operation the chain ripper machine works as follows. The machine is trammed forward into position then, while the main chassis of the machine remains stationary, the cutting head moves forward, sumping into the coal at the bottom of the face. The rotation of the chains carries the broken coal back over the head and deposits it on to the chain conveyor which then moves the coal to the rear end of the machine. When the sumping operation is complete, the head travels upwards towards the top of the seam, breaking out the coal as it moves.
