In order to more readily understand a steam booster we should cover the basic construction of an average steam booster which would be as follows : A series of copper tubings or coils are fastened together so that a 120° water can be supplied at one end and(if all other requirements are met) 180° water will pass through the other end. The upflow or high-boy furnace has the blower beneath the heat exchanger discharging vertically upward. Air enters through the bottom or the side of the blower compartment and leaves at the top.
