South Asian. A coalition of Indian human rights and industry groups together with the United Nations Children's Fund created the Rugmark foundation in 1994. Retailers and manufacturers bind themselves to a code of conduct which provides for the replacement of child labour with adult labour and the provision of educational resources for former child workers. Signatories pay licensing fees to the Foundation which employs monitors to conduct inspections to ensure compliance with the code. Signatories must allow access to all loons for unannounced inspections bu these monitors. Signatories who pass their inspections can affix the Rugmark label, a smiling carpet, to their products. En 1994, une coalition indienne de défenseurs des droits de la personne et de groupes industriels s'est associé au Fonds des nations Unies pour l'enfance pour créer la Fondation «Rugmark». Les détaillants et les manufacturiers souscrivent à un code de conduite prévoyant le replacement de la main d'œuvre enfantine par des adultes et la fourniture de ressources éducatives au profit des enfants des anciens travailleurs. Les signataires versent des droits de permis à la Fondation qui retient les services de contrôleurs chargés de mener des inspections afin de vérifier l'observation du code. Les signataires doivent permettre aux contrôleurs d'avoir accès à toutes les machines à tisser los de leurs inspections surprises. Les signataires qui passent ces inspections avec succès peuvent apposer le label «Rugmark», un tapis souriant, sur leurs produits.
