The ongoing modernization of the industrial structure in Quebec results in the decommissioning of many old industrial sites. Aware that some industries may have contaminated soil and groundwater while producing or utilizing hazardous substances, the Ministry has established the Contaminated Sites Rehabilitation Policy.
