Canadian business leaders committed to making a significant contribution to youth employability have developed Career Edge, a unique and innovative private-sector internship program. As a national, not-for-profit corporation, the program's goal is to enhance youth employability by providing valuable, career-related experience through internships within successful Canadian organizations. Career Edge was launched in October 1996, and already has hundreds of Host Organizations on board. En qualité d'entreprise nationale à but non lucratif, l'objectif du programme est de renforcer les possibilités d'emploi en fournissant une expérience de travail valable reliée à une carrière, grâce à des stages passés au sein d'entreprises canadiennes qui ont eu du succès. Avantage Carrière a été lancée en automne 1996 et compte déjà plus de 160 Entreprises d'Accueil.
