A "broker" is someone who represents a manufacturer or marketer(his "client") to prospective customers, and receives a commission, usually monthly, in recompense. Brokers do not purchase product. They do not warehouse merchandise. They are not resellers. They are representatives. In fact, their role is not too far afield from the role that exists between a real estate "broker" and his client. These consultants are normally expert in selection techniques, including psychological testing and interviewing and assessment procedures. They usually handle recruitment advertising as an integral part of their recruitment and selection service.
