The solution selected involves a prefabricated mattress assembled in a plant, wound on to a floating cylinder and transported to the site where it is laid on the sea-bed with the help of a special pontoon.... The filter mattress used for the foundation of the piers consists of three layers of granular material, sand, fine gravel and gravel, packed in a system of geotextiles. The mattresses are 42 X 200 m.
