In January 1997, the Packaging Association of Canada(PAC) and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union(CEP) joined together with Human Resources Development Canada(HRDC) to create the Packaging Careers Council of Canada(PCCC). The primary goal of PCCC is to study and respond to the human resources needs within the multi-faceted Canadian packaging field. En janvier 1997, l'Association canadienne de l'emballage (ACE) et le Syndicat canadien des communications, de l'énergie et du papier (SCEP) se sont associés à Développement des ressources humaines Canada (DRHC) pour créer le Conseil canadien des carrières de l'industrie de l'emballage (CCCIE). Le principal objectif du CCCIE est d'étudier et satisfaire les besoins en ressources humaines au sein du secteur diversifié de l'emballage au Canada.
