Developing Hormosira banksii embryos, used as bioassays in toxicity studies, identified ammonium as a toxicant in secondary treated sewage effluent discharged at Boags Rocks, Victoria, Australia. France, for a long time, had the toughest legislation forbidding the use of concentrate when making French cider. The Invention of Dutch Cocoa. Coenraad Van Houten, a chemist and chocolate manufacturer in Amsterdam, patented an invention that was soon to change chocolate from a beverage to a confection. He had devised a process for making chocolate powder by using hydraulic pressure to remove almost half of the cocoa butter from chocolate liquor. This reduced the fat content from over 50% to about 25%, and made a hard cake that could be pulverized. Then, in order to make this powder easier to mix into warm water, he treated it with alkaline salts, which also made the color darker and removed some of the bitterness. Interpretation of changes in bone marrow during infectious processes is quite complex. This paper reports bone marrow lesions observed in pigs inoculated with a moderately virulent ASF virus strain and studies their relationship to the pathogenesis of the disease. In this work, we have carried out the structural and ultra-structural study of the bone marrow of 14 Large White x Landrace pigs that were inoculatd by the intramuscular route with 105 50% hemodsorbing doses (HAD50) of the Dominican Republic’78 ASF virus strain. South Africa had controlled Namibia, which it called Southwest Africa, since defeating the German colonizers during the First World War. Starting in the early 1970s, a low-level guerrilla war had been waged against the South Africans by the Southwest Africa People's Organization(SWAPO). In 1988, South Africa had decided to grant the territory its independence, and the UN prepared to oversee the transition process. The United Nations Transition Assistance Group(UNTAG) involved approximately 4, 500 military and civilian observers from over 50 of the UN member countries. The purpose of UNTAG was to conduct a year-long preparation for the country's independence elections, and then monitor those elections in November 1989.
