Hydraulic door opener. This manually-operated spreader is relatively lightweight. It consists of a hand pump and spreader device. The spreader has intermeshed teeth that can be easily slipped into a narrow opening such as between a door and a door frame. A few pumps of the handle cause the jaws of the spreader device to open, exerting pressure on the object to be moved. The main entrance door is the primary means of aircraft access for passengers and crew. It consists of a door structure and an attached folding stairway with hand rails. The door and stairway must be unlocked and pushed out to initiate a controlled free-fall to the extended position. During closing, the stairway is unlocked and the door is retracted upward and inward by hydraulic pressure from the Auxiliary(AUX) hydraulic system. Ovens can, of course, be hand loaded with pans or straps. This arduous task is accomplished by mechanical means in nearly all large volume shops, however. The principle of operation of loading devices is relatively simple. Pans move over roller conveyors form the final steam proofer to a point in front of the relatively oven loading door. Their momentum carries them onto a series of rollers at right angles to the previous conveyor and parallel to the oven door. When a series of pans the width of the tray or hearth has collected, they are pushed into the oven.
