Biolab is a single-rack multi-user facility that will support biological research on small plants, small invertebrates, microorganisms, animal cells, and tissue cultures. It will include an incubator equipped with centrifuges in which the preceding experimental subjects can be subjected to controlled levels of accelerations. Automatic temperature-controlled and ambient temperature stowage units are available for storing Experiment Container samples. The glovebox, working under negative pressure, pre-empts any possible contamination to the laboratory atmosphere.

Each NASA ISPR provides 1. 6 m³(55. 5ft³) of internal volume. The rack weighs 104 kg(230 lbm) and can accommodate an additional 700 kg(1543 lbm) of payload equipment. The rack has internal mounting provisions to allow attachment of secondary structure. Cargo Handling Interface Assembly. The CHIA is an external support equipment which provides interfaces between the cargo items and the ULC [Unpressurized Logistics carrier] in orbit, during the assembly and maintenance operations of the ISS [International Space Station]. The Window Observational Research Facility(WORF). The WORF will provide a stable platform such that the full capacity of the U. S. Laboratory window(the highest optical quality window ever flown on an inhabited spacecraft) can be utilized.
